Series contains records created or collected by Mary Vingoe related to her play Refuge, which was first read at Nightwood Theatre's New Groundswell Festival in Toronto in March 2013. It premiered in Halifax with Eastern Front Theatre and HomeFirst Productions in October 2013 and was staged by Nightwood Theatre in 2016. In 2014, Refuge was nominated for a Merrit Award for Outstanding Play by a Nova Scotian Playwright. Refuge was also finalist for the 2014 Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Astounding Art Awards, then nominated for the Governor General's Award for English-language drama in 2016.
File contains an annotated third draft (127 pages) of the play The Putmore Island Tempest by Mary Vingoe. File also contains two pages that list names of characters in each scene of the play. This version of the play was developed at the 2015 Playwrights Colony organized by the Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre (PARC) in Sackville, New Brunswick. The manuscript is printed on the back of other plays including The Hour of the Flood by Brett Bell and Let's Try This Standing by Gillian Clark.

The document includes biographical information on Micheline Chevrier (moderator) and eight panelists: Linda Balduzzi, Ana Estable-Ferrero, Peter Honeywell, Wendy Lill, Gabriele Naumann-Maerten, Catherine O'Grady, Lorne Pardy, and Victoria Steele. The panel was presented by the Canadian Theatre Festival Society and the National Arts Centre.
