Photographs depict one of the first same-sex marriages to take place Nova Scotia, officiated in July 2005 at Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church by the church's pastor, Reverend Darlene Young; and the 2008 Community Hero Awards, organized by the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project. Fonds also contains one photograph of Dr. Hattie and Reverend Young following a Safe Harbour service.

Media coverage also includes LGRNS opposition to Barkhat Khokhar, a member of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission who expressed homophobic and misogynistic views. Footage from these tapes has been copied onto a DVD-R disc which is also located in this file.
