Item is a booklet for the Grassland field day in Port Williams [Nova Scotia], held by The Kings County Farmers' Association on June 11, 1962. They worked with the provincial and federal governments, and machinery companies, to plan the field day. The program ran from 9 am to 5 pm; the day included meals. Demonstrations were provided at the R.F. Newcombe, Henry Cogswell, and Fred Cogswell farms. Special thanks is given to Agricultural representative G.G, Smelzter for promotion.
Page 8 contains an advertisement for the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.

Item is a draft letter written by JP Landry to the Honorable J.K MacDonald, then Minister of Agriculture of Nova Scotia, on January 12, 1938. While most of the draft is handwritten, it includes a 2 page print report for the Antigonish C. Poultry Association in 1936. Also includes Minutes of the 36th annual report as manager of the Poultry Department at the Agricultural College and Provincial Poultry Husbandman." - signed by J.P.Landry, Jan. 12, 1938.

Charles Douglas was Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing. Douglas also served as Assistant Agricultural Representative in Pictou, Agricultural Representative in Hants County, Assistant Director and, later, Director of Extension, and as Director of Livestock.
