Peter was a Nova Scotia Agricultural College alumni, NSAC faculty member, and Registrar of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College for 10 years. Included is a stethoscope that was used for cattle, a Nova Scotia Agricultural College mug, and a blue knit NSAC pullover sweater. The published books and booklets include topics such as livestock husbandry (swine, cattle, poultry), feeding, judging and general agriculture. Most of the publications are Canadian and US government documents, a few textbooks were also included.

There are two series, one for certificates of Dr. Walsh, and another series for photographs taken at different events such as 4H events, Department of Nova Scotia Agriculture and Marketing conferences, retirement gatherings, and schools, while Walsh was a professor of Animal Husbandry [at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College] and sheep and swine promoter. Photos were taken and collected between 1910-1963.

File contains two scrapbooks, or memory books, created to reflect the activities of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association from 1952 to 1984. The auxiliary dismantled in the mid 1980s; former member Joan MacAulay created these scrap books in May of 2014 to acknowledge the work and friendship auxiliary members had.

File contains a poultry plucking machine patent that was issued on July 4th, 1944 to Angus Edward Banting, Truro, NS. Banting signed all his rights, title and interest of the invention over to the Department of Agriculture and Marketing of the Province of Nova Scotia.

Item is a time capsule created by the Class of 2012, the last class of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College before its merger with Dalhousie University. The capsule contains approximately 50 articles deposited by graduating students, including pictures, a bottle of wine made at the college, frosh beanies, written memories, a synopsis of NSAC and banquet programs. The project was initiated by Matthew Lawless, co-chair of the graduating class, Jonathan Waugh and Jessica Dowe, and the capsule was built by NSAC engineering technician Chris Nelson.
