Correspondence from E. F. Street to Thomas Head Raddall

Item consists of typed correspondence from E.F. Street, of the Committee on Camp Hill Cemetery, to Thomas Raddall, regarding the location of Sarah Croker's burial. The letter is annotated with inked additions, with a crude map marked to verso.

Item may have been a page in one of Thomas Head Raddall's photograph albums. The photographs are either duplicates of or related to material in Thomas Head Raddall's photograph album, 1917-1927. T.H. Raddall, Sr. can be found holding the telescope in the middle of the front row in the portrait of the rifle division. On the reverse side of the scrapbook page, the photographs on the left and right of Thomas Head Raddall are duplicates from the aforementioned album. The photograph on the left was taken in North Sydney in 1920, and the photograph on the right was taken in Point Pleasant Park in 1921. The photograph in the bottom middle may have been taken at Sable Island.

Files contains Frank McMahon's registration tickets for the Halifax Medical College (Dalhousie College and University Medical Faculty) and his attendance/examination cards for Anatomy, Materia Medica, Practical Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Botany, and Chemistry. The cards are printed on coloured heavy card and are held in a small black leather-bound folder. Cards are variously signed by John Forrest, A.W.H. Lindsay, D.A. Campbell, Arthur Morrow, John Somers, George L. Sinclair, and others. The back of one card contains a note from A.W.H. Lindsay about dissections.

Item consists of a small portrait photograph of an unidentified woman, likely collected by Charlotte Geddie Harrington, sometime in the 1860s. Photograph was taken at Margeson's Photo Studio, 197 Hollis Street, [Halifax, Nova Scotia].

Invitations to dances, at homes, and a gift sale

File contains five invitations to events at Dalhousie sent to Avis Marshall, including a dance by the junior class of the Faculty of Arts and Science; a sale of gifts and novelties from the Hwaiking Shop; an "at home" at the Pine Hill residence; a dance at Kings College; and an "at home" at the Waegwoltic Club.

Delta Gamma Society dance card

Item is a triangular dance card (booklet) for a dance put on the Delta Gamma Society in the Dalhousie Gym on February 24, 1926. The dance was chaperoned by Dr and Mrs MacMechan, Professor and Mrs Munro, Miss M. Lowe, and Dr. G.E. Wilson.

File contains two tickets and 13 dance cards from dances at Dalhousie University, the Waegwoltic Club, and Pine Hill. Most of the dance cards have been filled in with the names of her dance partners.

Letter of support for Dr. Daniel Cobb Harvey from Archibald McKellar MacMechan to Edwin Laftus

Item is three sheets of paper. The first sheet is folded to make two additional pages. The letter is Archibald MacMechan's recommendation to Edwin Laftus, that Daniel Harvey should receive the position of lecturer in History at Dalhousie University. A P.S. note by MacMechan also recommends an article that Harvey wrote for the Rhodes Foundation.
