Item is a handmade photo spread (construction paper ) of photocopied pictures of (1) Mr B.S. Sodhi – Chief Librarian – MacRae Library, and (2) Professor Peter Sanger, professor and acting archivist of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, taken from NSAC yearbooks over the years and during Open House in 1987.

File contains 7 photographs of C.A. Douglas' retirement. They are all stamped "Photo by Pridham Studio, Truro, N.S.". Charles Douglas was Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing. Douglas also served as Assistant Agricultural Representative in Pictou, Agricultural Representative in Hants County, Assistant Director and, later, Director of Extension, and as Director of Livestock. Akerley, Minister NSDAM [Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing], Dr. Wm Jenkins, Principal [NSAC]. Shown in the second photograph is Lyman T. Chapman, the college's 3rd principal, who was a special guest at the opening ceremony for Chapman House. In the photograph he is depicted reading the inscription on the plaque which is installed inside the main entrance. Photo by the Nova Scotia Information Service. The third photograph shows the construction of Chapman House. The fourth photograph is the opening of Chapman House.

Item is a black and white photograph of Nova Scotia Agricultural College's prized stallion, Captain Aubrey, pictured with A. Dwyer driving a cart attached. From Dale Ells' Shaped through Service : an illustrated history of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, page 95: Captain Aubrey was a bay horse that stood 15.3 hands in height, weighed around 1200 pounds. Captain Aubrey foaled in 1904 and had an impressive racing career until 1912, then began his career as a stud horse. He was purchased under the advice of Dr. Cumming for NSAC in 1917 and used for stud. Pure Bred Stallion Enrollment no. 14 Captain Aubrey 107 1/4 Son of Peter the Great 2:07 1 / 4.

Nova Scotia Agricultural College graduating class of 2012 time capsule

Item is a time capsule created by the Class of 2012, the last class of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College before its merger with Dalhousie University. The capsule contains approximately 50 articles deposited by graduating students, including pictures, a bottle of wine made at the college, frosh beanies, written memories, a synopsis of NSAC and banquet programs. The project was initiated by Matthew Lawless, co-chair of the graduating class, Jonathan Waugh and Jessica Dowe, and the capsule was built by NSAC engineering technician Chris Nelson.

Series contains records, books, photographs, and a time of capsule, of past students and their involvement in a variety of activities at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College as well as updates and autobiographies after graduation. Subseries include athletic sporting events, student councils, and convocation events, employment statistics, etc., between 1905-2012.

MacRae Library Agricola exhibition - "An apple a day" from the Fred Sears fonds

Subseries contains a collection of photographs used in the "An apple a day" exhibit held at the MacRae Library in 1998, highlighting the photographic glass slides found on campus that were believed to be taken by Fred Sears. Dr. Alex Georgallas was the acting archivist and curated the exhibit of prints of the Fred Sears glass slides. Most of the photographs center around apples and orchard practices and buildings of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. Notes on some of the sleeves of the negatives suggest that they date from the period 1906/7. It seems likely that they are connected with courses taught by Fred C. Sears at the NSAC during this period.
