Item is the program for the 2nd annual Nova Scotia Agricultural College class of 1944 lectureship "Directions for sustainable agriculture" by Freeman L. McEwen, Ph.D. Dean, Ontario Agricultural College. The lecture was held January 28, 1987 in Alumni Theatre, Cumming Hall.
Fonds consists of records created and collected by the Jamaica Agricultural Society. Records include publications, program outlines, meeting descriptions, serials, and booklets. Materials are related to JAS operations, bylaws, finances, proceedings of seminars, the history of agriculture in Jamaica, and development of better agricultural practices.
Collection contains records related to sheep and wool breeding, genetics, carcass evaluation, wool specimens, and statistics of live stock and shorn wool.
File contains a meeting summary between staff of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Nova Scotia Museum, and Ross Farm Museum held at the Nova Scotia Museum in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 17 June 1987. The meeting was about how to identify and understand historical crop varieties and educate the public about changes in plant material and the important of genetic diversity.
Collection contains "Sheep have an important place in Nova Scotia Agriculture. Leaflet No. 9" and transcripts from broadcast #20 and #21 of "The Vanishing Flock". Also included are a variety of agricultural reports.
Series contains records relating to the livestock and cultivation of grounds and crops at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College between 1918 and 1985. Record types include herd summaries and histories, vegetable plot plans, and catalogues of plants.
Subseries consists of summary reports of the different livestock breeds and a history of the Holstein Friesian herd at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College farm created in 1965 and 1984.
Fonds contains records created by William Threlfall that pertain primarily to the diseases, virology, and parasitology of birds and waterfowl. Records are thesis, research notes, and articles.
File contains two scrapbooks, or memory books, created to reflect the activities of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association from 1952 to 1984. The auxiliary dismantled in the mid 1980s; former member Joan MacAulay created these scrap books in May of 2014 to acknowledge the work and friendship auxiliary members had.
Fonds contains records created by The Council of Maritime Premiers regarding intergovernmental cooperation in the Maritimes and press communiques containing highlights from the CMP's sessions between 1981 and 1984.
File contains three photographs, two of E.L. Eaton with the wooden chains and board he carved and mounted and one close up photograph of the board with wooden chains. The photographs were taken in 1983 of the work done in 1981.
