Includes an agenda, minutes of the meeting (discussed was the progress report on the International Ocean Institute (IOI), financial matters, study projects, and Pacem in Maribus (PIM) IV), "Draft Rules of Procedure for IOI Planning Council," and correspondence. The file also contains the following documents (some with handwritten annotations by Elisabeth Mann Borgese) relating to the Third Session of the Planning Council (held in Montreal, Canada over February 5-7, 1973). Mediterranean study : project description

File contains a proposal from the International Ocean Institute co-authored by Elisabeth Mann Borgese and Sidney J. Holt. The proposal is subtitled: "A Multidisciplinary Project for Improvement of the Living Resources of the Mediterranean Sea," and examines development in the Mediterranean and its impact on the marine environment. The proposal grew out of the reports and work presented at the fourth Pacem in Maribus (PIM) conference.
