Collection consists of 16 DVDs, 5 CD-ROMs, and 54.4 GB of digital video and electronic transcriptions of oral histories from ca. 1950 - 2010. The Our Voices Matter Project was an initiative of the CMHA, Halifax-Dartmouth Branch to collect oral histories from volunteers willing to share their perspectives on evolving social and mental health environments.

File contains preliminary research plans, a seminar report on psychological testing, a multiphase personality inventory, and an excerpt on psychoneurotic screening in the Army, all written or originating with M.L. Kohn (1928-2021), who may have been a graduate or post-doctoral student at Cornell, working under Alexander Leighton.

Recording of an interview with Dr. Alexander Leighton

File contains a cassette tape recording of Barbara Hinds' interview with Dr. Alexander Leighton, a psychiatrist. The interview is about an investigation into the incidence of mental illness in western Nova Scotia. This is the fourth in a series of four interviews. The file also contains two typed scripts of intros and outros for two interviews with Dr. Leighton.

Reliability analysis between psychiatrists

File contains an appendix (Appendix F) outlining procedures in comparing psychiatric evaluators' thought processes and conclusions surrounding the mental health of respondents of the Cornell-Aro study. File also includes information on analysis coding and a chart outlining mental health symptom statistics.
