Pilots identified as from left to right: Vizefeldwebal (Vice Sergeant) Festner; Leutnant Schafer; Leutnant Frhr. von Richthofen; Rittmeister Frhr. von Richthofen; Leutnant Walff. Leutnant Schafer is credited with shooting down the British plane piloted by Captain R. A. Logan on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917 near Cambrai, France.

File also contains a typed letter signed by R.B. Bennett, then Director General of National Service Canada, dated February 15th, 1917, proposing McMillan's participation in an "occupational survey [...] for National purposes only [...] to enable both after-the-war and present-day problems to be dealt with intelligently and efficiently".

Christmas card from Sgt. A. Fraser Tupper to Ralph Kane

Item is a Christmas card sent by Sgt. A Fraser Tupper to his nephew, Ralph Kane, while Tupper was serving overseas in France during World War One. The front of the card features the crest of the Dalhousie University No. 7 Stationary Hospital and is held together with black and gold ribbons. The inside of the card features engravings of tents and buildings in France.

Item consists of two copies of the same photograph taken by A.M. MacKintosh on May 19th, 1918, depicting the after-effects of a German air raid on the No. 1 Canadian General Personnel lines near Étaples, France (30km south of Calais). During that attack fifty eight people (including three nursing sisters) were killed and fifty wounded in the Hospital, while there were 1200 other casualties in the area.
