Item is an engraving of a portrait of Sir Astley Paston Cooper, First Baronet, F. R. S., Sergeant Surgeon to the King, Vice President of the Royal College of Surgeons. Cooper was a British surgeon who lived from 1768 to 1841. The portrait was painted by Sir Thomas Lawrence, "P. R. A., principal painter in ordinary to His Majesty," and engraved by Samuel Cousins. The portrait is mounted on a wooden frame.
