The vision of Dalhousie : [brochure]

File contains a brochure created in 1920 by the Dalhousie Campaign Committee. The brochure presents architect Andrew Cobb's campus master plan known as the "vision of Dalhousie." The brochure presents the original Dalhousie College building on Grand Parade as the "First Dalhousie" and the newly constructed Forrest Building as the "Second Dalhousie."

Dalhousie University : past, present, and the future

File contains two copies of a booklet called Dalhousie University, which was produced by the Dalhousie Million Committee as promotional literature supporting the university's 1920 Million Dollar Campaign. The booklet, subtitled "Dalhousie, past, present and the future," outlines the university's accomplishments and plans and spells out the financial costs of fulfilling its vision. The booklet's illustrations of historic and contemporary Dalhousie people and buildings were drawn by Arthur Lismer and commissioned for a commemorative history of of the university published the same year.

One copy of the booklet contains a newspaper clipping about Frank Darling.

Dalhousie Songs 1921

File contains two copies of a songbook published by MacNab Print for the students' council of Dalhousie University in 1921. The songs include songs about Dalhousie as well as other sing-along songs.

Dalhousie University calendars : 1920-21 to 1923-24

File comprises Dalhousie's academic calendars for the 1920-1921 to 1923-1924 sessions. Calendars include information such as time tables, important academic dates, courses of instruction, degree requirements, fees and scholarship opportunities and examinations for the Faculty of Arts and Science, Dentistry, Medicine and Law, as well as matriculation exams and dates. They also contain lists of the members of Senate, the Board of Governors, academic staff and students, as well as outlining the history of the university, its regulations, societies and facilities.

Character study of Mary Caroline Hawkins

File contains a triangular piece of yellow cardboard with a 'character study' of Dalhousie student Mary Caroline Hawkins. There are two Greek letters printed at the top of the card: Delta Gamma. This card is presumed to be related to the Delta Gamma Society, a women's society at Dalhousie University.
