Teaching materials

Series consists of course materials, proposals, and progress reports for various classes and lecture series. Also contains correspondence regarding these teaching sessions and miscellaneous lists and other planning materials.

GayLine administrative records

Series contains administrative records for the GayLine, established in 1972. GayLine was renamed to the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Line in 1994. Materials in this series include GayLine monthly and annual reports; call logs and templates; staff notebooks; correspondence; memos, minutes, and a certificate of incorporation relating to the name change; and notes.

Sound recordings

Series contains sound recordings related to the Nova Scotia Mass Choir from 1992 to 2007.

Recordings include various performances, interviews, studio recordings, and radio broadcasts.

Performance and recording records

Series contains records created and collected by Stephen Pedersen that document his work in performance, including music recitals, concerts and recording. Records types include scripts, programs, posters, photographs, contracts and related correspondence.

Scores

Series contains manuscript scores composed by Stephen Pedersen. There are titled scores, composition exercises, and untitled musical notations. There is also a set of dice and photographs used in the composition of Pedersen's "Game of Chance for Two Players."

2008 Community Hero Awards

Series contains photographs taken by Dr. Brenda Hattie at the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project [NSRAP]'s first Community Hero Awards, held in October, 2008 at Pier 21. The event was hosted by Cape Breton-based comedian Bette MacDonald, and honoured Halifax-based LGBT activist Daniel MacKay for his service to Nova Scotia's LGBT community.

Series consists of records regarding correspondence, proposals for research and reports submitted to companies, research centres and government departments by MacLaren Marex Inc.

The journalist as documentarian

File contains records related to Sylvia Hamilton's course, "JOUR 3662.01: The Journalist as Documentarian," at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Through her eyes: women and the documentary tradition

Series contains documents related to the course CTMP 3304.03 and JOUR 3304.03, "Through Her Eyes: Women and the Documentary Tradition," taught by Sylvia Hamilton at Mount Saint Vincent University. Sylvia Hamilton also taught the course at the University of King's College under course codes CTMP 3304.01, JOUR 3304.01, and GWS 3304.01.

Oral history research notebooks

Series contains handwritten bound research notebooks completed by James Morrison during his thesis research on the Jos Plateau in Nigeria. The research notebooks contain notes on fieldwork, oral history notes and language lists, drawings and maps. The series contains two subseries, "Complied field work notebooks" and "History of Assakio village".
