Photographs

Series consists of photographs created or collected by Creighton. Most photographs are related to logging and forestry in Nova Scotia between 1934-1944, but there are also photographs of Creighton and other forestry students in Europe; Creighton presenting a copy of his book to Gerry Andrews; and a photograph of the Dalhousie class of 1926 reunion in 1976.

Fonds consists of records that were collected by Walter V. Grant. They include a report on farming in Canada in 1949 and a series comprised of reports from the 1963 Nova Scotia Voluntary Economic Planning, Forestry Sector meetings.

Interviews with miners

Series contains recorded interviews with miners who worked at coalfields in Joggins and Springhill, Nova Scotia. Interviews were conducted by Ian McKay. Series also contains notes from each interview.

Meeting minutes of the executive of the Dalhousie Alumnae Association

File contain meeting minutes of the Executive Committee of the Dalhousie Alumnae Association between December 18, 1918 and Spring 1935. Inserted between pages are postcards announcing meetings, a ballot for the Alumnae Governor and a typed extract from the July 9, 1881 minutes of the Board of Governors concerning the admission of women to the college.

File includes a printed announcement of the revival of the Annual Alumni Dinner (1889); a printed confirmation and subscription form for the Annual Dalhousie Dinner and Alumni Meeting (1912); and a menu for the Dalhousie Alumni Dinner (1920). File also includes announcements for Alumni Association events such as skating parties, dinners, reunion weekends and cruises.

Abstract of minutes of annual meeting

Item is a three-page handwritten abstract of the minutes of the annual general meeting held 22 April 1895. There are typed amendments pasted in place and the pages are numbered 7-9, suggesting that they were removed from a larger document.

Series comprises records created and collected by the Dalhousie Alumni Association that document their administration and governance, including meeting minutes, laws and bylaws, executive, committee and division reports, correspondence, membership (subscription) and financial records.

Subseries contains minutes of both the Executive (later Board of Directors) meetings and of the Annual General meetings, including committee and division reports. Most are written or typed or printed and pasted into bound volumes, which also contain meeting notices and other announcements, and newspapers clippings.
