The photograph is of the 4 honorary graduates at the Special Convocation held in August of 1936 to mark the first ever meeting in Halifax of the Canadian Bar Association. The picture includes, from left to right, Sir Lyman Duff (Chief Justice of Canada), Lord Thankerton (House of Lords Privy Council), Sir Joseph Chisholm (Chief Justice of Nova Scotia) and George Montgomery (President of the Canadian Bar Association).
