Administrative and student affairs

Series contains records pertaining to the administration of the Information Science Student Association including executive meeting minutes, official correspondence internal or external to SIM, official documentation, governing documents such as constitutions, meeting minutes, agendas, voting processes, subcommittee materials, guides, reports. It also contains records pertaining to student life including promotion/organization, social and special projects programming, event flyers, academic matters, student forum records, and materials relating to the student experience.

Fonds consists of records pertaining to the formation of the Information Science Student Association of Dalhousie University's School of Information Management, constitutions, meeting minutes, agendas, annual reports, correspondence, committee records, IWB conference records, event materials, event photographs, and financial records. The majority of the records were created between 2001-2019 when the organization was known as SIMSA.

Item is a compact disc containing various files of SIMSA records, including committees (2002-2007), constitution (1988-2007), executive (2005-2007), external documents (blank), financial records(2003-2006), records management (2006-2007), reports (2002-2007), and website (2006-2007). Material on CD is in .doc and .jpg formats.

SLA materials

File consists of Special Libraries Association (SLA) meeting agendas, minutes, emails, and correspondence with the IWB committee. Also includes a thank you note to SLA from the 2016 IWB committee.

List of committee members

File consists of a list of names and email addresses of committee members for the 2008-2009 academic year. The committees included in this file are admissions and scholarships committee, appointment, promotion, & tenure committee, common room committee, and curriculum and continuing education committee.

SIM orientation materials

File consists of materials for SIM orientation week complied by the 2006 orientation committee, including a schedule of events, volunteer list, promotion flyer for a book swap, acronym list, scavenger hunt planning materials, and an email buddy (cyber-pal initiative) list. Also includes a list of names and email addresses of the 2008-2009 orientation committee members and the orientation schedule for fall 2008.
