File contains records produced as part of the operations of the TightRope Leather Brotherhood. Materials include notices and flyers for events put on by TightRope and the Toronto-based leather club Spearhead between 1992 and 2001; administrative and financial records including general meeting and elections notices from 2000 and 2001, meeting minutes dated 2000 to 2002, budgets and financial statements produced between 1993 and 2000, and a certificate of incorporation from 1997; correspondence regarding TightRope operations dated 2000 to 2003; and dungeon rules and hanky codes

Leather event cards, brochures, and programs

File contains event cards and brochures for leather contests and meet-ups in Chicago, Illinois and Cincinnatti, Ohio; and one program for the 2002 International Mr. Leather contest, held in Chicago from May 23-27, 2002.

Leather community materials

Series contains materials collected by Al Stewart as part of his involvement with the Halifax-based TightRope leather brotherhood, which was established in the early 1990s, incorporated in 1997, and disbanded in 2007. Series also contains materials related to the Mr. Atlantic Canada Leather [MACLeather] organization, which operated between 1999-2010, and the leather community more broadly. Materials include TightRope administrative and financial records, correspondence, and promotional materials; event cards, flyers, posters, programs, and certificates of participation for TightRope events, MACLeather contests, and leather events across Canada and the United States; photographs of TightRope meet-ups, MACLeather contests, and other leather community events; web print-outs; issues of the Phalia newsletter published by Spearhead leather and denim club in Toronto; erotic gear catalogues; and one copy of the 2002 Men of Pumpjack calendar.

Leather community event calendars and schedules

File contains leather community events calendars and schedules covering events in both Nova Scotia, across Canada and the United States, and some European events. Materials include one schedule for the Mr. Atlantic Canada (M.A.C.) Leather 2003 contest weekend, held October 4-6, 2002; one calendar produced by the TightRope brotherhood featuring both TightRope gatherings and other leather community events across Canada, the United States, and Europe from 1994-1995; and two copies of the Hot Boots calendar for 2002-2003.
