File contains a pamphlet called "A Personal Risk Assessment for Craftsmen and Artists," several pamphlets about teaching practices, an issue of "Focus on University Teaching and Learning," documents from the Recording Teaching Accomplishment Institute, a document called "Ethical Principles in University Teaching," collected memorandums from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences from 1995, and various other documents collected by Robert Doyle at Dalhousie University. The file also contains the teaching dossiers of Mark D. Ludman, Kathleen Marie Landymore, and Satoko Suzuki, which were used as examples by the Recording Teaching Accomplishment Institute.

Teaching license and school register for Joyce Barkhouse

File contains two Grade 2 class registers with lists of students taught by Joyce Killam at Liverpool School Section No. 8 in Queens County, Nova Scotia. The file also contains a copy of her teacher's license, originally issued in 1937 and re-issued in 1969 by the Department of Education, Nova Scotia.

This course analyzed how words and sentences convey meaning in language. Students learn how lexical items can be represented in terms of their semantic components and how interrelated groups of words form semantic fields. At the sentence level, grammatical, pragmatic and logical aspects of meaning are introduced. The course also explored idiomatic expressions and the ubiquity of metaphor.

College governance is well documented through the minutes and correspondence of the Board of Governors and the Senate, and the President’s records.

The administration of technical education courses in communities throughout Nova Scotia, 1907-1947, is minutely detailed in the records of the Director of Technical Education, as well as through the series of beautiful glass plate negatives of Technical Education classes.

The Public Relations office created files, photographs, sound and video recordings of events, faculty, staff and students of TUNS.

A selection of student records is available in the series of records from the Registrar’s Office; however access is restricted to protect privacy.

The development of the TUNS campus is well documented through construction photographs, aerial photographs, historical overviews, and files on land acquisition and renovations to historic buildings.
