The project, headed up by Americans Nancy Knowlton and Russell Brainard and Australian scientist Julian Caley, developed a tool called the Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structure to provided standardized examination of species distribution, warming temperatures and oceanic acidification at reef locations throughout the world.
