From Dale Ells' Shaped through Service : an illustrated history of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, page 95: Captain Aubrey was a bay horse that stood 15.3 hands in height, weighed around 1200 pounds. Captain Aubrey foaled in 1904 and had an impressive racing career until 1912, then began his career as a stud horse.
