This fonds consists of records related to theatre history in Nova Scotia which were collected by Best while researching his M.A. thesis. The fonds includes photographs and negatives of local theatres (including Neptune, the Orpheus, and the Capitol) and various programs, advertisements, and articles related to them. The fonds also includes photocopies of a series of articles Best wrote for the Halifax Mail Star on the history of theatre in Nova Scotia, as well as some other miscellaneous research notes. Photographic materials include 41 negatives and 62 printed photographs.
