This episode, hosted by Mike Hymers, features news stories on labour and unemployment in the West; the French foreign minister's visit to China; Kurt Waldheim and Austrian historians; and Quebec and the Canadian Constitution. It was recorded May 6, 1987 and aired May 8, 1987.

Publicity photographs of Ellen Ballon

File contains publicity photographs of Ellen Ballon. Most are portraits, but some feature her playing the piano, participating in World War II support activities, at ceremonies, at concerts, and at receptions. Most of the photographs are undated but seem to span the entirety of her adult life. The last photograph in the album is of Ballon receiving her honorary doctorate from McGill University in 1954.

Proofs of photographs from Fort Chimo, Quebec and other locations

File contains 11 proof sheets of 116 photographs taken during a trip to northern Quebec taken by Barbara Hinds in 1965. The photographs were taken in Fort Chimo, Povungnituk, Sugluk, and Wakeham Bay. Most of the photographs are of residents of those towns. The photographs also show houses, churches, other buildings, construction sites, boats, and cars. Each proof sheet has a sheet of paper attached to it with descriptions of each photograph.

File contains documents collected by Barbara Hinds during the 1976 royal tour. Documents include itineraries for the press and the royal couple; two spiral bound notebooks of handwritten notes; photographs; a copy of the address given by Her Majesty the Queen in Halifax; a copy of a speech delivered by the Queen in Montreal; typed drafts of articles about the tour; a news release; and information about press arrangements for the tour.

File contains an autographed photograph of the Montreal-born opera singer Louise Edvina Edwardes (nee Martin), known by her stage name "Madame Edvina." File also contains a print of Louise Edvina in costume from the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini. Logan's notes on the reverse side of the print and at the bottom of the photograph indicate that she was known for her creation of the title role of Louise in an opera by Gustave Charpentier.

Photographs show devegetation near smelter plants in Flin Flon, Manitoba and Sturgeon Lake, Ontario (Cu-Zn), Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec (Cu-Zn and SO2), and acidification of quartzite at Killarney, Ontario. Also includes a photograph by Keith of Kilauea Crater (Hawaii) and three photos of New Zealand scenery.

File contains a photograph of "The Three Bares" sculpture (also known as the "Friendship Fountain"), which was given to McGill University by its creator, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, as a show of goodwill between the United States and Canada. Ellen Ballon met Whitney while in New York and reportedly suggested the donation of the sculpture. It was presented to the university in 1931 by New York Times editor John Finley in 1931.
