Photograph of Graham Holman district supervisor, Minister of Education William Gillis making first official call to George Mitchell and Straun Robertson sitting at table. The official ceremonies marked the conversion of the Heatherton exchanghe to dial and were held in the Heatherton Catholic Church Hall on December 22, 1976. The call officially opened the half million dollar porject which went into service on December 20, providing DDD and extended area service between Heatherton and Antigonish and Heatherton and Monastery.
