History

John Edward Shuh was a long-serving faculty member at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, from his start in 1948 teaching at Camp Debert until he retired after serving as acting principal of the college in 1972. He was born on 10 August 1913 in Waterloo, Ontario, and he graduated with an MS in Agronomy from McGill University in 1942. In 1987 he was named a distinguished life member of the Nova Scotia Institute of Agrologists. He died in Truro, Nova Scotia, on 1 July 1998.
