Biographical history

Douglas Waterman was a Halifax based video or media artist in the 1970s and 1980s. Waterman became associated with the Centre for Art Tapes in the 1978 because of their video recording entitled “3 videos by Douglas Waterman” became a part of the centre’s tape collection.

Custodial history

The tape was donated to the Dalhousie University Archives in 2013 by the Centre for Art Tapes.

Scope and content

Item consists of three video works by Douglas Waterman : Over, Line Separation and Thought Pile. Videos were screened by Centre for Art Tapes in an exhibition with Gary Wilson's photographs.
