File contains 176 photographs taken by Bill Freedman, in the Northwest Territories, on multiple visits from 1973 to 1986. Photographs show tundra scenes (of grave sites, frost polygons, oil spill clean-up sites, and the Native Games), from Tuktoyaktuk, Herschel Island, Cape Bathurst, Inuvik, and Cape Parry.

General note

Metal slide box, cardboard slide boxes, and binders were discarded during archival processing.

Signatures note

Most slides were originally held in a tan metal slide box with handwritten label: "W. Arctic Sable Isl.". They were stored in compartments 8-13, titled "Tundra scenes" and "Tundra", as per Freedman's penciled location key. Slides were also found in four cardboard slide boxes (three untitled, one marked "Tuk '86", and two untitled archival sleeves in an untitled blue three-ring binder.
