Biographical history
Catherine Stockhausen is a Canadian artist, photographer, videographer and television producer. Born in Italy, Stockhausen moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia under the age of one. Stockhuasen received a scholarship for the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, where she studied photography, video art and graphic design. After completing her studies in the 1990s, she photographed band for international publications. Stockhausen worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Company on the award-winning show, Street Cents, before moving to Toronto. In Toronto, Stockhausen was a Producer for MuchNews on MuchMusic, Producer and Senior Producer for Entertainment Tonight Canada, and a Producer for George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight. Stockhausen recently published a book featuring her photography for the 1990s Halifax music scene.

Mike Clattenburg is a Canadian television and film director and writer, most known for his work on the Trailer Park Boys. Born in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Clattenburg has been active in the local Nova Scotian film industry since the 1990s. He has also been involved in the Canadian Broadcasting Company with productions such as Street Cents, and directed numerous music videos. Clattenburg became associated with the Centre for Art Tapes in 1995 because a video recording they were featured on became a part of the centre’s tape collection.

Laura Borealis became associated with the Centre for Art Tapes in 1994 because their audio recording “Thrush hermit ("french inhale")” became a part of the centre’s tape collection.
Custodial history
The tape was donated to the Dalhousie University Archives in 2013 by the Centre for Art Tapes.

The tape features: The Super Friends "10 lbs" (3 min., 40 sec.) directed by Laura Borealis, Jake "Double Edge" (2 min., 47 sec.) directed by Laura Stein, Al Tuck & No Actiob "Buddha" (5 min., 10 sec.) directed by Peter Holt, Hip Club Groove "Shootin' da Gift" (4 min., 10 sec.) directed by Mike Clattenburg and "Rugged Operator" (3 min., 23 sec.) directed by Catherine Stockhausen, and Thrush Hermit "French Inhale" (3 min., 9 sec.) directed by Laura Borealis.
