Biographical history

George Gardner Morrison was a master mariner from Economy, Nova Scotia. He was the captain of the Schooner Nellie Blanche and the Schooner Nellie Carter. Morrison purchased the schooner Nellie Carter on February 29, 1901 from [Mark] Phinney of West Bay, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.

Custodial history

Logbooks were donated by James Morrison in October 2017 (accession number 2017-043). Prior to donation, the logbooks were in the custody of Lorne Morrison, who previously loaned them to the Archives to be microfilmed in 1980 (see accession 1980-101). George Gardner Morrison is the great-grandfather of James Morrison.

Fonds contains three logbooks and documents from James J. Morrison father of George G. Morrison.
