Name of creator
Edward Miller (1825-1901) was a correspondent of J.A. Froude, the historian, novelist, biographer, and editor of Fraser's Magazine (1861-1874). He was quite likely the Reverend Edward Miller, a writer, editor, and one-time fellow and tutor of New College, Oxford who, like Froude, published essays in The Contemporary Review.
Name of creator
The letters were accessioned by Dalhousie University Archives in 1970. The custodial history is unknown.
Scope and content
File consists of three letters written to Mr. Miller from J.A. Froude. The first letter refers to a suggestion that Froude be interested in editing The Contemporary Review, an idea firmly withdrawn in Froude's second letter.
