File is an audio reel containing a lecture by Jeff McNeely, the Chief Conservation officer at the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources in Switzerland. McNeely spoke in the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium as part of the Dorothy J. Killam Lectures Series on "Conserving Global Biodiversity: Social, Economic, and Political Issues." This is the first of two parts, which aired on CKDU October 10, 1992 and was rebroadcast October 22, 1992 on The Evening Affair.
