File is an audio reel containing an interview with Nancy Cochrane of the Nova Scotia government's Adult Protection Service on elder abuse. Part 1 discusses what services the government offers to seniors in the home, and what extraordinary measures the Adult Protection Service can initiate to control the lives of persons assessed as incompetent. Part 2 discusses the role of legislation in dealing with elder abuse and neglect. The interview was conducted by CKDU's Dan Hart. The episode was recorded on September 20, 1990, and was broadcast on October 2, 1990, October 8, 1990, and November 29, 1994 on The Evening Affair and Title Waves, CKDU programs.
