File is an audio reel containing an interview with Maude Barlow, the former principal adviser to Prime Minister Trudeau on women's issues and a member of the National Executive of the Council of Canadians. While in Halifax for a panel discussion at the McInnes Room at Dalhousie University, she spoke with Ken Burke of CKDU. The interview is in two parts. The first part (3 min., 40 sec.) addresses free trade with the United States and subsequent women's job loss. The second part (10 min., 14 sec.) discusses federal porn legislation. The interview was recorded September 14, 1986 and aired September 15, 1986 on Title Waves, a CKDU radio program. The first part was rebroadcast September 15, 1986 on The Evening Affair, CKDU's evening public affairs program, and both parts were rebroadcast September 19, 1986 on Title Waves.
