While the fonds includes correspondence from Wilfred Creighton to his siblings and parents, Wilfred's papers are not included as a sous-fonds within the fonds.

The bulk of the fonds consists of correspondence from family and friends, but also includes diaries, photographs, financial papers, personal papers, memorabilia, print materials, scrapbooks, articles, and artwork. Records in the fonds provide a well-rounded depiction of the family's daily activities and lives - from their relationships with each other, their extended family, and their community, to their financial status, values, education, and careers.

The file includes contracts from Neptune Theatre, the Nova Scotia Tattoo, Theatre Plus, Upper Clements Family Theme Park, Meet the Navy, Saint John Tattoo, and Manitoba Theatre Centre. The file also includes a designing artists agreement from the Associated Designers of Canada.

Financial books and wedding record of Joyce Barkhouse

File contains three books: a personal expenses ledger, including insurance payments and income cheques for Joyce Barkhouse (1948-1952); an inventory of household furniture and personal effects (January 23, 1959); and a wedding record with notes about her wedding to Milton Joseph Barkhouse (September 16, 1942). The wedding record also includes invitations and cards in the back.

Income tax returns and other financial documents

The documents include an assessment notice for 1973 from the Municipality of Annapolis County, billing information for props and costumes, notes from a financial planning presentation, handwritten notes about retirement planning, documents from a pre-retirement planning workshop, information about retirement benefits, reciepts, a demand on third parties for the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, correspondence with Piers, Conrod and Allen Chartered Accountants, Doyle's 1968-1973, 1986, and 1993 income tax returns, and letters from the Department of National Revenue. The file also includes a collection of receipts and other records of personal and business expenses, each stapled to a page from a day planner with notes written on it.
