Programs developed and administered by the Women in Media Foundation

Series contains material relating to the promotion, development, and administration of the programs and workshops that were run by the Women in Media Foundation. Materials include completed evaluation forms from programs, curriculum material, script and teaching material, camp essays, and final reports. Series also contains applications, campers lists, release forms, and promotional materials.

The following is a list of programs that Women in Media Foundation was involved in: Girl's TV Camp (later named Girls TV and New Media Camp), Women's Technical Internship, Diversity Workshop, Girl's Enterprise workshop, the Travelling Girls Documentary workshop, lesson plans and teaching materials for teachers, WTNdowment scholarship, CyberSafe program, Girl's Mini-Media workshop, Train the Trainer workshop, and Media Literacy workshop.

Fonds contains comprehensive records documenting the functions and activities of the Women in Media Foundation between 1990 and 2007. Materials include administrative records, correspondence, financial records and video works created by young women who participated in the Foundation's summer camps and other programs. Fonds also contains communications and marketing material and records documenting the various girls camps operated by the Foundation across Canada.

Series contains outgoing and incoming correspondence, which deal with areas of finance, grant applications, as well as communication between partner organizations and program applicants. Series may also contain correspondence belonging the Executive Director. Correspondence is also inter-filed in other series, related to the subject.

File consists of correspondence with Pitblado Barristers and Solicitors in Winnipeg and with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, regarding charitable status. File also consists of general information and upcoming plans, programs and budget.

WTN-Dowment

Sub-series contains material relating to the WTN-Dowment program that was run by the Women in Media Foundation. Files regarding the WTN-Dowment may be interfiled within the administration, finance and communications series.
