Posters for events at Rumours, 1992-1993

File contains posters for events at Rumours, a bar in Halifax that was owned and operated by the Gay and Lesbian Association of Nova Scotia (GALA) from 1982 to 1995. File includes three posters for Rumours' Pride events, held from June 26 to July 1, 1993; three posters for the Easter weekend events, held April 8th and 10th, 1993; three poster for the Christmas in July event, held on 1993-07-24; and one poster for A rhapsody in blue New Year's event, held on 1992-12-31.

Pamphlets and outreach materials

Series contains duplicate pamphlets and outreach materials from fonds in the Nova Scotia LGBT Seniors Archive. Materials in series include anti-discrimination pamphlets produced by Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS], and pamphlets produced by Churchmembers Assembled to Respond to AIDS [CARAS].

Gaezette

Subseries contains duplicate issues of Gaezette, a publication which was originally published as the newsletter for the Gay Alliance for Equality. It was published by a non-profit collective between 1984-1995, when it changed its name to Wayves. It existed to inform lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people across Atlantic Canada of activities in their communities, and to promote those activities and support their aims and objectives.

File contains two copies of the 1994 [volume 11] run of Gaezette. File does not contain copies of the February issue [volume 11, number 1].

Wayves, 1995

File contains issues from the 1995 [volume 1] run of Wayves. File contains three copies of the July/August issue [volume 1, number 6] and two copies of all other issues.

Wayves, 1998

File contains issues from the 1998 [volume 4] run of Wayves. File contains three copies of the February and September issues [volume 2, numbers 1 and 7] and two copies of all other issues. File also contains three copies of the Pride insert from the June issue [volume 2, number 5], two inside copies of the issue and one loose.

Fetish evening flyers, 2007

File contains four flyers for fetish evenings held at Blue Moon Bistro in Halifax during April and May of 2007, and two copies of an information sheet outlining details for these events.

Materials in series including buttons and pins, badges, medals, clothing, and other regalia related to or worn during Halifax Pride parades, political demonstrations organized by Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS] and other groups, Mr. Atlantic Canada Leather [M.A.C. Leather] contests, and other LGBT causes and events.

Wayves

Subseries contains duplicate issues of Wayves Magazine. Wayves was initially published beginning in 1983 as the newsletter for the Gay and Lesbian Association of Nova Scotia, under the name Gaezette. The magazine adopted the name Wayves in 1995 and continued to print content intended to inform and support lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people throughout Atlantic Canada until the print edition ended in 2012.

File contains issues from the 1997 [volume 3] run of Wayves. File contains three copies of the Pride supplement from the June issue [volume 3, number 5], and two copies of all other materials.
