Citizen Ambassador Program information and other documents

Costume design for Afro Funk rappers

Item is a watercolour sketch of a costume design for "Democracy 250," the pre-show for the 2008 Nova Scotia Royal International Military Tattoo. The costumes are for rappers in the Afro Funk segment of the show. The sketch shows three figures wearing the costumes.

Love for Love set materials

File contains 19 pieces of clear plastic that have been painted with swirling designs in various dark colours. Some pieces are cut into irregular shapes. Some pieces are mounted on card. The items are from a set design for a production of Love for Love, Probably Wimbledon Theatre's 1969 production.

Newspaper clipping of Dalhousie University Costume Studies project, "The Wedding of the Century."

File contains the Nova Scotian section from the April 12, 1996 issue of the Chronicle Herald. The front page of the section features an article about a Dalhousie University Costume Studies project. The project was a re-enactment of a wedding that took place on December 29, 1764 between Joseph Goreham and Ann Spry. The article is divided between two pages of the newspaper section and features three black and white photographs of the event.

Clippings of clothing styles

File contains two magazine clippings from the New York Times and the National Enquirer. One clipping is an advertisement for men's shirts and the other is an article about Nancy Reagan's outfits. The clippings include colourful photographs of the clothing and may have been used as research material for costumes.

Concurrent set and costume design project

File contains six collages of photographs which were used as research for set designs and costumes. The collages were part of Robert Doyle's teaching portfolio. The photographs are mounted on matboards and show various unidentified people and locations.
