Fonds consists of manuscripts and proofs of Budge Wilson's books and short stories; correspondence with publishers, students, and teachers; publicity material; photocopies and clippings of reviews, profiles, and notices regarding awards and appearances; diaries; recorded radio interviews; and an assortment of other documents created and collected by the author throughout her writing career. The fonds also contains materials relating to the adaptation of Wilson's novel "Before Green Gables" into a Japanese animated television series.
File includes Budge Wilson's handwritten speech and a copy of a speech by Margaret Laurence "On Censorship...A Speech given to Ontario Provincial Judges and their Wives" and "Remarks on Margaret Laurence" by Joan Y. Johnston. The file also contains a letter from the Halifax City Regional Library about her participation in the event.
File contains drafts for speeches given by Budge Wilson, including to Larry Amey's class at Dalhousie University; a speech on Oliver's Wars; and a talk on Margaret Laurence at the Wenjack Theatre at the University of Trent.

File contains a copy of Budge Wilson's "Ann Connor Brimer Talk," the keynote address at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, which launched Canadian Children's Book Week in 1999. The speech addresses the state of children's literature in Nova Scotia. The file also includes a copy of a fax sent to Budge Wilson from regarding the schedule for the Canadian Children's Book Week Gala.
