This exhibition was organized by and presented at Dalhousie Art Gallery between September 23 and October 23, 1977.

Catalogue contains a foreword by Mary E. MacLachlan (Dalhousie Art Gallery), list of lenders to the exhibition, an introduction covering pattern, colour, and knotting techniques, written by Hans-Gunther Schwarz (Dalhousie University), photographs of select rugs, and descriptions of the various regions and styles of rugs in the exhibition.
