File includes copies of a paper by Elisabeth Mann Borgese, written for a publication in honour of Shigeru Oda ("Liber Amicorum Judge Shigeru Oda"), on the expansion of the concept of "the common heritage of mankind" from the mineral resources of the international seabed to the ocean's living resources. The file contains a preprint version, as well as an earlier draft. The file also includes a copy of a different article by Mann Borgese, "The Common Heritage," which was published in 1974 in "Ceres" magazine (see MS-2-744, Box 174, Folder 18).
