Red Cap Snow Shoe Club Minutes

File contains minutes of the 85th, 87th, and 90th annual meetings of the Red Cap Snow Shoe Club, captained by S.R. Balcom (and later H.A. Barnes).

Correspondence - Central Medical Supplies

File contains correspondence from Balcom's time as Officer Commanding, Medical Stores, and Chief Medical Stores Inspection Officer during World War II. Original file split between files 2-19 and 2-20.

Sister W.I. Thompson's Ward of German Prisoner's with Dr. Ells in Charge.

Photograph includes Nursing Sister W. I. Thompson on the right ; Nursing Sister S. Churchill; Nursing Sister J. A. Davidson; Nursing Sister S.A. Archard ; Nursing Sister C. S. Smith; Dr. Ells (located behind Sister Archard) and Dr. Banting (located behind Sister Thompson)who were both visiting the unit. Also included, Ned Clay, who took a lot of the photographs for the unit, he is located in front of the tent with a cigarette.

Back of photograph includes names and a note "Dr. Ells was with us that time as a transfer from Line Duty, formerly from Sheffields Mills, NS. Dr. Banting was visiting the unit."

Scrapbook

"Record of Post-Graduate Scholarship Holders for the 20 Years of the First War Memorial" used as scrapbook. Mostly clippings, and ephemera pertaining to those who served at the Stationary Hospital.

Correspondence

File contains seven pieces of typed correspondence addressing S.R. Balcom, regarding events at the Bramshott Camp, Hants., the No. 9 Canadian Stationary Hospital, and the No. 12 Canadian Stationary Hospital, during and shortly after the First World War. Correspondence sent from Major S.G. Chown, Colonel H.M. Robertson, and Lt.-Col. H.E. Randall.
