In several instances there are two tapes with the same number. Rather then re-number the tape collection, the two tapes are labelled under one file and listed as 1 and 2 - although the actual tapes do not have 1 and 2 - the tapes are in order, next to each other in their box, and have front labels with the description of what is on each tape.

Characteristics of the student population

File contains two incomplete draft copies of the report "Formal Educational Preparation for Social Service Work in the Atlantic Region: A Profile of Faculty, Students, and Curriculum Emphases at the Technical , Undergraduate and Graduate Levels". Both copies have white out and handwritten notes in pen and marker. Tables have been taped onto pages and there are some loose blocks of text not taped to any pages. FIrst draft report has a blank cover sheet with "Student Report-Nancy" written at the top.

Chrysalis : lecture

Tape contains, lecture from Chrysalis, in Edmonton 3 April 1997. In 1968, Chrysalis began as a Centennial project under the direction of the University of Alberta and was created by parents and community members who realized that adults with disabilities deserved equal opportunities to contribute to their communities. Chrysalis began as an agency especially planned for training adults with developmental disabilities to produce manufactured goods using automated machinery. Through Chrysalis, individuals were offered, for the first time ever, alternatives to staying in school or remaining inactive all day long in their residential settings.
