Program and poster for Saturnalia

File contains records from a concert entitled "Saturnalia: A Festival of Light" at Saint Mary's University Art Gallery, which featured two silent films: "Teller That You Love Her," film by Glenn Walton, music by Paul Cram; and "Lulu's Back in Town," by Lulu Keating, music by Sandy Moore. The music to both films was provided by the Upstream Ensemble (Bob Bauer, Paul Cram, Sandy Moore, Steven Naylor, Don Palmer, Jeff Reilly, and Jamie Gatti).

File includes minutes of Artistic Directors meetings; Board meetings; budgets and project descriptions by performance season; a copy of the Memorandum of Association and By-Laws of Upstream Music Association; an Upstream mailing list; and copies of grant applications. These documents were likely used by Jeff Reilly during his term as Artistic Director for the association, given the various annotations on the records.

Application to Nova Scotia Department of Tourism and Culture

File contains Upstream Music Association's application to the fund for "Assistance to Organizations for Special Projects in the Performing Arts" for April 12, 1992 to April 24, 1993, rough drafts of the application, and related correspondence. File also includes a letter of support from Saint Mary's University Art Gallery and a letter sent from Upstream to the Charles H. Ivey Foundation requesting support for the upcoming 1993-1994 season.

Box office records for the concert season

File includes records of subscriptions and concert takings and attendance for the 1992-1993 concert season. File also includes "The New Arts Sampler" brochure, which includes advertisements for three Upstream Music concerts.

Proposal and grant application for the Tittle Project

File contains records relating to a proposed CD, produced by Undercurrent Recordings, containing the following nine compositions by Steve Tittle: "Mediterranean Eyes," "Intellectual Dancing (Two)," "I remember Mambo," "Good Golly Miss Kali," "The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore," "Where no one speaks English and Everything's Broken," "Available Light," and "Sing like you don't nee the Money." The proposed title of the CD was the same as the last piece. The CD was never made.
