File includes a variety of documents related to Robert Doyle's activities at Dalhousie University and the costume studies courses that he taught. The documents include photocopies of articles, course descriptions, student assessments, personal notes, memos, brochures for the theatre department, a booklet called "A Guide to Academic Procedures," agendas for departmental meetings, and production meeting minutes.

Daily plan and record book

File contains Robert Doyle's daily plan and record book from 1990-1992. The book is a spiral bound notebook with lined paper, designed to by used as a daily plan book by teachers. The notebook is mostly full but most pages of notes are undated. There are several other sheets of paper tucked between pages of the notebook, such as student grades,assignment descriptions, and pamphlets.

Income tax returns and other financial documents

File contains some of Robert Doyle's financial documents. The documents include an assessment notice for 1973 from the Municipality of Annapolis County, billing information for props and costumes, notes from a financial planning presentation, handwritten notes about retirement planning, documents from a pre-retirement planning workshop, information about retirement benefits, reciepts, a demand on third parties for the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, correspondence with Piers, Conrod and Allen Chartered Accountants, Doyle's 1968-1973, 1986, and 1993 income tax returns, and letters from the Department of National Revenue. The file also includes a collection of receipts and other records of personal and business expenses, each stapled to a page from a day planner with notes written on it.
