Backgrounds: ten Nova Scotian women artists

File consists of records relating to an exhibition entitled Backgrounds: Ten Nova Scotian Women Artists, presented at the Dalhousie Art Gallery from October 4 to November 11, 1984. The artists that participated in this exhibition were Frances Bannerman, Marion Bond, Elizabeth Cann, Mabel Killam Day, Elizabeth Nutt, Florence Payzant, Tony Saulnier, Margaret Semple, Edith Smith, Ruth Wainwright, and Marguerite Zwicker.

Records consist mainly of insurance files, correspondence, loan agreement forms, and photographs.
