Series consists of research materials, correspondence, and biographical information of individuals who Gordon Duff had in his collection. Many of these records are research materials used by Duff in teaching or publication. The majority of the files listed are pharmacists or pharmacy clerks. Additional biographical materials of other pharmacists can be found in the Jessie I. MacKnight and George A. Burbidge series.

C.C. Richards : company prescriptions

File contains handcopied prescriptions from C.C. Richards and Company of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, in a Hilroy exercise book and examination booklet. File also contains photocopied information on prescriptions, sent to him by Jean Palmer of New Brunswick.

Series consists of information relating to retail pharmacies throughout Canada, although most of the information is about Nova Scotian retail pharmacies. Records include biographical materials, financial records, advertisements, and other materials related to retail pharmacies.

Item is an A-Z index with accompanying note, "Index of Pharmacists, 1875-1930." The majority of the index is made up of typed entries on index cards. There are handwritten cards and notes throughout index, as well as newspaper clippings. Many of the cards provide biographical information.

File contains two small Nova Scotia Pharmaceutical Society booklets. The first is an annual report for 1899-1900, printed by John Bowes of 42 Bedfore Row. The second is entitled "Examination Papers" and was published in 1902 by printer Charles Artz of 129 Hollis Street.
