Fonds consists of manuscripts and proofs of Budge Wilson's books and short stories; correspondence with publishers, students, and teachers; publicity material; photocopies and clippings of reviews, profiles, and notices regarding awards and appearances; diaries; recorded radio interviews; and an assortment of other documents created and collected by the author throughout her writing career. The fonds also contains materials relating to the adaptation of Wilson's novel "Before Green Gables" into a Japanese animated television series.

Published talk : Margaret Laurence, listener

File contains a copy of a published talk by Budge Wilson entitled "Margaret Laurence, Listener." The memorial talk was originally delivered at the Wenjack Theatre at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario on February 2, 1987. It was later published in the Canadian Woman Studies Journal (Volume 8, Number 3).

Handwritten script of commentary regarding the Swissair disaster on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's radio program Information Morning

File consists of the hand-written draft of a script by Budge Wilson, regarding the Swissair disaster, on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Halifax Information Morning program. Includes two photocopies of letters to Dick Miller, a CBC producer. Also includes three copies of the final typescript of the speech.

Speech for Short Story Award at the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia Gala

File contains Budge Wilson's presenting speech for the Short Story Award at the 1999 Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia Gala (WFNS). The file includes her handwritten draft and final typed copy of the speech and a copy of the program for the event. The Short Story Award was won by André Narbonne with Leigh Anne Williams (second), Eve Mills Nash (third), and Lindsay Preston and Karen Leah Whalen (honourable mentions). Wilson's speech briefly discusses each individual and their short story submission.
