Fonds includes published and unpublished papers, correspondence to and from Fred Sears between 1905-1907 while he was Professor of Horticulture at Nova Scotia Agricultural College. The glass negative, lantern slides, and copy negatives and contact prints depict apples and orchard practice around the Agricultural campus and Nova Scotia. Notes on some of the sleeves of the negatives suggest that they date from the period 1898-1907.

Fonds consists of materials created and collected by Norman Creighton, including radio scripts; published and unpublished manuscripts for short stories and articles; correspondence; audio tapes and records; research notes; newspaper and magazine clippings; photographs; financial papers; memorabilia. Materials primarily relate to Creighton's long career as a writer and broadcaster, but also include materials relating to his personal life and family history. Fonds consists of fiction, non-fiction and poetry manuscripts, one notebook, leaflets and periodicals, newspaper clippings, and a hardcover copy of The Growing Question, a gardening book published by Fillmore in 1957. Materials relate to Fillmore's interests in horticulture and political activism.
