Item is photographic portrait of James McDonald (1876-1952), the son of Duncan (1841-1929) and Elizabeth Davidson McDonald (1840-1923). He was from Coalburn, Pictou County, was married to Mary McDonald (1879-1967), and had a son, Duncan Davidson McDonald (1908-1985).

Item is a portrait photograph of Alice P. Cruikshanks, bust. Cruickshank was born June 1 1894 or 1895, and her father was from Lower Caledonia. She married George Stanley Christeson, and had two sons, John George (1923-2014) and David Scott (?-1973). Cruickshank died on February 22, 1960 in New Glasgow.

McDearmid, the son of Daniel McDearmid and Christy Bell McKenzie, was born circa 1876 and died in 1909 unmarried and without children. McDearmid's first name is spelled in a variety of ways: Alphonso/Alphonse/Alfonse.
