File contains a photograph of Reverand James Alexander Stead Burns who was born in Montreal in 1871. He had one brother, C.B. Burns, living in Ottawa, and three sisters: Mrs. Arthur G. Troop also lived in Ottawa, Mrs. MacKathy in Oban Scotland, and an unnamed sister in London, England. He was predeceased by his wife and died childless in New Glasgow in 1926. File also contains a print of Louise Edvina in costume from the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini. Logan's notes on the reverse side of the print and at the bottom of the photograph indicate that she was known for her creation of the title role of Louise in an opera by Gustave Charpentier.

HARRY GOUDGE GRANT, M.D., C.M., M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., Dr. Harry Goudge Grant was born in Halifax on June 25, 1889. After preparatory schooling in that city, he entered Dalhousie University, graduating M.D., C.M., in 1912. Post-graduate study prior to settling in Halifax in 1920. A keen interest in Public Health, with which he keeps in touch as Professor of Preventive Medicine, took him to Virginia in 1925. There he remained in charge of County Health work until appoint to his present post in 1932. Dr. rant is currently President of the Association of Canadian Medical Colleges. Died 1954. Secretary of the Medical Society of Nova Scotia 1933-1954.
