Accompanying note reads: Diane Elizabeth Banikhin was the first of a class of 23 to graduate from Memorial University's Faculty of Medicine at a special Convocation June 16, 1973. She receives her hood from Dr. Ian Rusted, Dean of Medicine. At right is Dr. G. Alain Frecker, Chancellor of Memorial.
